OUR THIRD ACT /
A COLLABORATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT IN PARTNERSHIOP WITH THIRDACT.ORG/Massachusetts
Greetings,
My name is Edward Boches. I’m a documentary photographer and social justice activist, committed to supporting organizations fighting for democracy, climate, housing, women’s rights and homelessness. This is my latest project.
Our Third Act : A Collaborative Text and Image Project
About the Project
The objective is to capture and record the voices, wisdom and experiences of Americans over 60 who are effecting positive change through actions that include protesting, writing letters, canvassing, volunteering, or are otherwise actively working to safeguard democracy.
Collectively, the photos and words will be used to support thirdact.org/massachusetts/ (the local chapter of the national ThirdAct.org) to preserve a record of democracy in action; and to inspire others to get involved.
Eventually we will find other ways to share the stories, either in a book or local exhibits that can be attended by all participants.
What is Third Act?
Founded by author, environmentalist and Ghandi Peace Award recipient Bill McKibben, Third Act is a community of Americans over sixty determined to change the world for the better. We harness our unparalleled generational power to safeguard our climate and democracy. In Massachusetts there are over 1100 members.
